Keelboats

Our keelboat range brings together boats that stand out for quality, performance and equipment that are hard to match in their class, making them one of the best investments for clubs, schools and private owners.

RS 21

RS 21

At Proasail.com we suggest the RS 21 to sailing clubs that want to build a sportsboat fleet gradually and at an affordable cost: a modern one-design that works for the sailing school and crew training just as well as for club leagues and racing. RS Sailing designed it with Corinthian racing in mind, the racing of amateur crews: the boat arrives finished and complete, with no complex choices, and the class rules put a brake on the equipment arms race. What counts is equality between boats and close racing, not maximum performance at any price. A powerful rig and pronounced chines are balanced by well-mannered behaviour and an ergonomic deck on which every crew member has a role. Add simple, economical maintenance and sustainability built into the design, from the materials to the logistics. The RS 21 fits just as well in a club as in the hands of a private owner or a group of friends in shared ownership: its modest costs allow attractive charter rates and make the investment manageable. The international RS21 class is growing on three continents, with a national and international calendar that expands every year, and in 2019 the boat was a finalist for the European Yacht of the Year award.

RS Aira

RS Aira

For anyone after a comfortable, stable daysailer with real performance, at Proasail.com we recommend the RS Aira 22. Coasting, hopping between the islands of a lake or heading up an estuary: on any of these outings the whole family sits in a roomy cockpit with padded cushions. And when you fancy some pace, the boat delivers.Three design decisions explain its character. First, a long waterline. Second, a lead bulb keel that provides stability; thanks to it, RS Sailing could give the boat more sail area: a 14 m² mainsail and an 8 m² jib, plus an optional 28 m² gennaker that gets the boat planing. Third, a big self-draining cockpit that makes life aboard simple. The options list covers the practical and the pleasurable: a retractable TEMO electric motor (Pod Drive 1000 with one 2.3 kW battery, or Pod Drive 3000 with two), a swivelling cockpit table, lockable cabin washboards and a furling gennaker. RS Sailing also offers a custom colour programme for the cabin, the cushion upholstery and the gennaker itself.A day at the beach, a route to explore or a friendly race: the RS Aira 22 is designed for small adventures and comes with a fixed or a lifting keel. Voile Magazine named it Trailerable Boat of the Year 2022, the HISWA awards made it Sailing Yacht of the Year 2018 and in 2019 it was a finalist for European Yacht of the Year.
